Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Google Trusted 360 Virtual Tour?

360 Virtual Tours are the latest addition to the Google Street View | Trusted platform.  It utilizes Google’s Street View technology to provide a 360-degree virtual tour of your business. These virtual tours help drive business by appearing in 3 prime places on Google: Search, Maps and Google+.

How does it work?

Just like Street View, a Virtual Tour is a collection of panoramic images that are stitched together to create a “real time,” 360-degree experience. However, unlike Street View, you don’t have to wait for Google to do it*, rather you can work with a “Trusted Photographer” or “Trusted Agency” that Google has certified to do the work in your area.

Trusted Photographers and Trusted Agencies handle all of this for a one-time fee that’s in line with market value pricing set by Google. Generally speaking, this means hundreds of dollars – not thousands of dollars – for a typical retail store to have it done. Not only is the price point affordable, but the work can be done quickly – your tour appears on Google within two weeks of the photo shoot.

What is the cost?

The overall cost of the service is determined by a variety of factors including (but not limited to) the square footage of the space being photographed, content ownership terms, time spent on stitching and embedding, and additional multimedia packages.

How does a Google Virtual Tour help my business? What is the ROI?

This innovative new technology offers consumers a unique and convenient look inside your business. In addition, early case studies from Google have shown a dramatic increase in click-through rates for businesses implementing a Virtual Tour. According to the study, businesses that add photos to their listings receive 42% more requests for driving directions on Google Maps and 35% more clicks through to their websites than businesses that don’t.

Our packages include the still images, high-definition video and dynamic 360 Virtual Tours that will help your business drive consumer interaction, optimize your presence on Google, and provide immediate returns.

Where does the Tour show on Google?

Once published, your Tour may appear in a variety of Google products and services, including Google Search, Google Maps, Street View, Google Earth, Google + , and other Google products. Published content may also appear within third–party sites that use Google embeddable widgets or the Google Maps API.

The Momentum 360 Team will also assist with embedding the Virtual Tour in your company’s website, and syncing the Tour across all social media platforms.

What types of businesses have Tours?

While the Momentum 360 Virtual Tour service is available to any business (granted it is listed on Google Maps), it’s ideal for the certain business types whose interior spaces are of particular interest to potential customers. Business types like:

  • Restaurants – Allows potential customers to experience ambiance and décor up close
  • Salons and Spas – Allows customers to get a feel for the space and standards for cleanliness
  • Medical and Dental Practices – Introduces potential patients to the practice including treatment areas and equipment
  • Design Trades – Visually communicates the firm’s signature style and creative capabilities
  • Auto Dealerships – Brings customers to showrooms day or night and shows off scope of inventory
  • Real Estate – Shows perfectly guided tours to one of a kind spaces for rent or own options.

How long does the process take to shoot?

The time of the photo shoot depends on the size of space and amount of shots needed. The setup and breakdown takes about an hour, and shooting itself has ranged from 1-5 hours. Including the stitching and embedding, most small projects (less than 1000 square feet) only take 2-3 hours from start to finish.

What if I change decor or remodel?

Don’t worry! We offer discounted rates for seasonal re-shoots and/or remodeling.

Can customers be present during the shoot?

It is preferable to do the shoot before opening or after closing. This simplifies the process and allows the owner to set-up exactly how they wish to portray their small business. If there are customers present, Google requires all personally identifiable feature to be blurred; such as faces, license plates, name tags, etc.
